Every Idea Track can be reviewed in either cycle. Each Track has one standard cycle; the other cycle remains available through Accelerated Review.

How year-round review works: Register during the preceding cycle for the Early Bird rate and stay on your Track's standard submission timeline, or use Accelerated Review to submit and receive results in that earlier cycle. The same assessment standards apply in both cycles.

All fees are per student, per track. Both review cycles use the same assessment standards. NIM sets review deadlines; students, teams, and institutions manage project delivery schedules.

Partial fee waiversPartial fee waivers may be available based on demonstrated financial need or hardship through a confidential application process. Achievement tiers are based solely on work quality.

For institutions

Institution-Organized Participation

Schools, consultancies, and education organizations register first, then use their dedicated link to organize participating students.

Institution access supports registration links, teams, and project progress through the NIM system.

Registration is securely processed through EAE, NIM's program platform.

Independent Project or Student-Arranged Team

Register directly if you are completing an individual project, already have a team, or are actively assembling your own team.

Team projects normally include 4–12 students. Cross-school and cross-country teams are accepted.

Planning a larger team project? The supervising adviser must email NIM to request approval before registration.

Pre-registration is securely processed through EAE, NIM's program platform.
